Sowing Method: In the stick sowing method of Dwarf Napier grass, sections of mature stems, about 3-4 inch nodes long, are directly planted in prepared soil. Stick planting shall be done at an angle to ensure that one node is buried and the other remains above ground. These sticks should be spaced about 60-75 cm apart. This will ensure good root establishment and rapid growth. Adequate watering and fertilization after planting are necessary for promoting healthy development and maximum yield of biomass.
